When I started (then stopped) this blog in 2009, Maxx had been dead 2 years. I did some Yoga poses while mildly intoxicated. It seemed to help me sleep.
Now, I do my Yoga sober.
How better to capture the incongruity of one existing alongside the other than to say that life after losing my son and practicing yoga drunk captures the reality of this grief.
